First death from novel coronavirus reported in Karachi

Sindh health minister Dr. Azra Pechuho on Friday has confirmed the death of COVID-19 patients in the province.

The patient from Sindh who passed away today was the first death from the local transmission of the virus.

According to details, the 77-year-old patient was a resident of Karachi. The person was a cancer survivor and also had diabetes and hypertension when he got the infection.

The minister said the person did not have any travel or contact history.

This is the first death reported in Sindh– the most affected by the virus in the country.

The total number of coronavirus patients in the country has risen to 456 with 3 deaths reported.
