The much-anticipated “Dracula” series from the BBC and Netflix is showing more of its fangs, as viewers get their first look at the Danish actor Claes Bang. Who will be soon appearing as the star of the new adaptation of Bram Stoker’s classic vampire tale ‘Dracula’.
This new look of the bloodthirsty Count seems like a complete nightmare. Dracula’s face splattered with blood, and with black-red piercing eyes and bottom teeth look more like fangs and the sharp pointed nails.
The Danish star appears to be quite a contrast in the other shared image, his non-vampiric persona seems to be pretty decent.
Claes Bang also starred in Ruben Östlund’s 2017 movie The Square, which went on to win the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
Inspired by Bram Stoker’s classic novel, the three 90-minute episodes will re-introduce the world to Dracula, the vampire who made evil sexy. In Transylvania in 1897, the blood drinking Count is drawing his plans against Victorian London. And be warned: the dead travel fast.
Netflix and the BBC One have teamed up for a three-part series, with each part of 90 minutes’ duration. The series is being written by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, the creators of Sherlock and the series is produced by Hartswood Films.
Series also stars Dolly Wells, Sacha Dhawan, John Heffernan, Joanna Scanlan, and Chanel Cresswell, and will air on BBC One and Netflix.
Reportedly, with production still underway, Dracula’s premiere is expected in late 2019 or early 2020.
