Fly Jinnah: Sharjah’s Air Arabia eyes 2022 launch in Pakistan
Fly Jinnah, a new low-cost carrier (Karachi Int’l), a new joint venture of Air Arabia Group with Pakistani conglomerate Lakson Group eyes an early 2022 launch.
Fly Jinnah will be based out of Karachi International Airport, where Lakson Group is headquartered.
As being reported the airline will initially focus on Pakistani domestic routes before expanding internationally in near future.
However, the two partners did not outline further details concerning the start-up’s fleet, network, or exact launch timeline.
Fly Jinnah would begin its certification drive shortly.
Air Arabia Group Chairman Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al Thani said: “We are confident that Fly Jinnah will add value to the air transport sector of Pakistan and directly contribute to the local economy through job creation and the development of travel and tourism sector.”
PM Imran Khan has also welcomed the joint venture.
