Federal Minister for Food Security Khusro Bakhtiar has urged the public to not indulge in panic buying as he reassured that the country has ample stock of basic food items like oil, wheat, and sugar.
While addressing a press conference alongside Advisor to the Prime Minister on National Security Moeed Yusuf and Chairman NDMA Lieutenant General Muhammad Afzal, Bakhtiar reiterated that the government is ready to combat Coronavirus crisis and the public does not need to hoard grocery or essential items.

“We are self-sufficient in poultry, livestock, and dairy,” the Minister said.
Chairman NDMA also acknowledged that the government has provided enough funds and enhanced inter-provincial management will help tackle the epidemic.
