Galaxy S10’s UD fingerprint reader will not work with screen protectors

Here’s a rather bad news for all those looking forward to the latest Galaxy S10 by Samsung. According to rumors the Galaxy S10’s under- display fingerprint reader will not work with screen protectors!
The Vanilla Galaxy S 10 and the Galaxy S 10+ are going to make use of a new in-display fingerprint tech. It is believed that they will introduce the ultrasonic fingerprint technology which tends to be more efficient, faster, reliable and more accurate than the currently existing optical fingerprint technology. However it seems that there is a major drawback of it too.
We have tested our cases on real #GalaxyS10 phones. The in-screen fingerprint does not support screen protector. So our vanguard will have no built in screen protector

Armadilotek claims that they have tested its products on the Galaxy S10 and all screen protectors were preventing the efficient operation of the fingerprint scanner. Furthermore, it is not confirmed that company tested all possible materials. There is glass and then there is plastic. Samsung could also come up with in-house screen protectors which will perhaps work with the device if all else fails, but testing is needed for them as well. However, we will better get to know once phone hits the market most probably in the first half of March.
