Geo Entertainment suspends its contract with Khalilur Rehman Qamar

Geo Entertainment and 7th Sky Entertainment have suspended their recently signed contract with writer Khalilur Rehman Qamar amid his recent abusive remarks controversy.
As planned earlier, Qamar was to exclusively write four TV plays plus a feature film for the channel for this year. The first project in the series, God is Great, was also to be aired on Geo soon.
The announcement was shared on social media, declaring that the contract will remain suspended with the writer unless he apologizes over his abusive remarks in the recent live Tv show!
Reportedly, this was a non-exclusive contract as the writer was engaged with several other TV channels.
The agreement was signed between Khalilur Rehman Qamar and the leading producers of Seventh Sky Entertainment, Group Managing Director Abdullah Kadwani and Chief Operating Officer Asad Qureshi of Geo Entertainment Holdings almost a week ago.
