George Clooney is the world’s highest-paid actor of 2018 according to Forbes

Forbes has released it world’s highest paid actors list for the year 2018. The combined earning of the top ten actors is worth 748.5 million dollars between June 1, 2017, and June 1, 2018, before fees and taxes. Two Bollywood actors also made into top ten list this year.
According to Forbes, George Clooney is the highest paid actor, after collecting $326 million over the past 12 months. 57 years old, two times Academy award winner Clooney’s film and television production company “Smokehouse” produced film Ocean’s 8, which was released in June this year and has grossed more than $408 million worldwide.

Former WWE wrestler turned actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, is in second place for a consecutive year. According to the Forbes, “the largest ever acting take-home from front-of-camera roles in Celebrity 100 history”. Johnson who played an archaeologist in “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle,” which proved to be his biggest salary bump.

Robert Downey Jr. is at the third spot earning $81 million from his portrayal of Iron Man in “Spider-Man: Homecoming” and “Avengers: Infinity War.”

At 4th spot is Chris Hemsworth, who pocketed $64.5 million as Thor in Marvel movies like “Thor: Ragnarok.”

Jackie Chan is at 5th spot as he earned $45.5 million after starring in six movies in 2017, including “The Lego Ninjago Movie”, endorsements and also from his own line of movie theaters in China.

At 6th place is Will Smith, who banked $42 million dollars last year, he earned $20 million from Netflix’s “Bright” and his upcoming role as Genie in Disney’s live-action “Aladdin.”

At 7th spot is Indian Bollywood’s actor Akshay Kumar, who earned $40.5 million from various roles, including “Toilet: Ek Prem Katha,” and including dozens of endorsements as well.

Adam Sandler is at 8th position in list, who brought in $39.5 million thanks to a lucrative Netflix deal. Being a comedian, he also makes big bucks with live comedy gigs that bring in six figures per night.

Bollywood actor Salman Khan is one of India’s top earners, is at 9th spot on Forbes list. He brought home $38.5 million last year from the hit “Tiger Zinda Hai” and endorsements.

Chris Evans, who made $34 million for playing superhero Captain America in the Marvel franchise, is at 10th place in Forbes 2018 list.
