Govt cuts petrol price by Rs10 and HSD by Rs13.06 per litre

The new price will be effective from midnight.

The federal government on Sunday night announced a Rs10 per litre cut in petrol and Rs13.06 per litre in high-speed diesel prices.

The price of petrol will decrease by Rs10 per litre, from Rs259.10 to Rs249.10.

Additionally, the cost of high-speed diesel (HSD) has been reduced by Rs13.06 per litre, from Rs262.75 to Rs249.69.

Meanwhile, the price of Kerosene Oil has been reduced by Rs11.15 per litre from Rs169.62 to Rs158.47 and the price of Light Diesel Oil has been cut by Rs12.12 from Rs154.05 to Rs141.93.

New prices are to be effective from midnight.

“The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has worked out the consumer prices of petroleum products, based on the price variations in the international market,” a statement released by the Finance Division read.

This reduction in petrol prices marks the fourth consecutive cut in just two months.
