The petrol price has been increased by Rs 25.58 per liter by the federal government with immediate effect.
The new rates will be applied from midnight.
Petrol with an increased rate of Rs 25.58 per liter will now cost Rs. 100.10 per liter and high-speed diesel at Rs 101.46 with an increase of Rs 21.31 per liter.
The decision to revise the prices of petroleum products upwards was taken “in view of the rising oil prices trend in the global market”, Finance Division statement said.
