The government on Friday has approved an increase of Rs3.20 per litre in petrol prices for the remaining month of January 2021.
The approved new increased prices of petroleum products will be applicable from midnight (January 16).
As per the notification, diesel price has been increased by Rs2.95 per litre.
Furthermore, the kerosene oil price has been hiked by Rs.3, and light diesel prices have been increased by Rs4.42.
In Pakistan, this is the third time in four weeks that fuel prices have been increased.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) in a summary sent to the federal government had recommended an increase in petroleum products which was approved by PM Imran Khan on Friday.
