Govt. Sindh announces schools to remain closed till May 30, Matriculation exams cancelled

The Sindh government has announced that all educational institutions will remain closed till May 30 and has canceled the examination for classes 9 and 10.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah made the decision about the closure of the province’s schools, colleges and universities in consultation with the other members of the task force, especially the doctors.

All the coaching and tuition centers are also to be closed.

According to Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani, the closure of schools will be accounted for in the summer vacations.

The decision comes amid coronavirus outbreak fears as most of Pakistan’s 21 coronavirus cases have been reported in Sindh.
