The government has taken a decision to move the UK authorities to deport former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, days after the government of Punjab decided it won’t extend Sharif’s bail.
The decision was announced during a news conference in Sialkot as Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the government will bring the former premier back to the country.
Awan said that the former premier did not provide his medical reports to the Punjab government, alleging that the PML-N chief’s decease as a ‘fixed match’.
Awan further said a section of media created an environment that if the PMLN chief’s was not allowed to leave for treatment abroad his life might be at stake.
“The government will write to British authorities for Sharif brothers’ deportation,” said Awan.
The SAPM said that in the next week, concerned authorities will take steps regarding the return of former prime minister.
