Hamas Releases Four Israeli Women Hostages to Red Cross in Gaza
Israel is to free 200 Palestinian prisoners in today’s swap, according to Palestinian sources.

Hamas handed over four Israeli women hostages to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on Saturday in Gaza City as part of a ceasefire agreement with Israel.
This event marks the second round of hostage releases since the ceasefire began earlier this month.
Israel is to free 200 Palestinian prisoners in today’s swap, according to Palestinian sources.
The four hostages, identified as Karina Ariev, Daniella Gilboa, Naama Levy, and Liri Albag, are all soldiers who were captured during Hamas’s attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. They had been held for over 15 months after being abducted from the Nahal Oz military base.
During the handover, which took place in a public square, the women appeared in military uniforms, waved to onlookers, and were escorted by armed members of Hamas before being transferred to Red Cross vehicles.

The release of these hostages is part of a broader agreement that is expected to see Israel release approximately 200 Palestinian prisoners in exchange. This includes members from various Palestinian factions, with some serving life sentences.
The handover was witnessed by journalists and involved a formal signing process between Hamas representatives and Red Cross officials.
Following their release, the four female Israeli soldiers are set to be transported to Israel, where they will receive medical care and reunite with their families at Bellinson Hospital in Petach Tikva
