HBO responds to Donald Trump’s ‘Game of Thrones’ inspired tweet on Mueller Report

Television network HBO has responded to President Donald Trump’s tweet regarding the Special Counsel Mueller Report on Russian meddling in the 2016 election, which yet again made a clear reference to “Game of Thrones.

In a statement, HBO said, “Though we can understand the enthusiasm for Game of Thrones now that the final season has arrived, we still prefer our intellectual property not be used for political purposes”.

On Thursday morning POTUS tweeted a meme, featuring a photo of him, captured in from the back with the text, “No collusion. No obstruction. For the haters and the radical left Democrats… Game Over.”

The famed fantasy series fans instantly knew what the encrypted message was taken from. The font style that POTUS featured in the graphic was a copy of the well-known lettering HBO uses for the title of its epic HBO series, which is now airing its eighth and final season.

Seems like POTUS is also a big fan of the HBO fantasy series, as this is not the first time Trump has used “Game of Thrones” trademarking.

HBO accuses Donald Trump of Game of Thrones’ ‘trademark misuse’

It was last year in November when he tweeted a “Sanctions are coming” meme regarding the reimposing of all U.S. sanctions on Iran, which had been lifted under the 2015 nuclear deal. The message was a direct reference to GOT’s iconic trademark phrase, “Winter is coming.”
