20 min of heavy rain takes toll at Lucky One Mall Karachi

This year’s monsoon season has been pretty tough for Karachi, even a few minutes of heavy downpour causes havoc for the metropolis.

Tuesday afternoon’s short duration rain spell caused havoc for a shopping mall in Karachi. The famous Lucky One Mall, situated at the main Rashid Minhas road could not bear the 20 min spell of rain. To be noted, the recently constructed mall is the largest shopping mall in Pakistan.

A video of the incident has started doing rounds on social media captured by unidentified men, who can be heard in the clip.  Rainwater can be seen rushing down the light sockets and also a portion of the ceiling came down.
