The Ministry of Human Rights of Pakistan has appointed a first transgender person, the announcement was made by the federal minister Shireen Mazari on social media. Newly appointed Ayesha Moghul will be working as a resource person announced Shireen Mazari.
While sharing a photo taken in her office, Shireen Mazari wrote on Twitter:“Welcomed our first transgender Ayesha Moghul who is going to work in MOHR as a resource person”.
In her tweet, the federal minister also thanked UNDP Pakistan for its efforts in empowering the transgender community.
