Imran Khan calls for Nuclear meeting following Balakot incident

As Prime Minister Imran Khan stated earlier, Pakistan would not think about retaliation; Pakistan would retaliate and it seems, things have gotten even more serious after the Balakot incident this morning.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has called for a high level meeting of the National Command Authority (NCA) which oversees the operational command and control of the country’s nuclear arsenals. The meeting will be attended by the  Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Defence Ministers and Foreign Ministry on Wednesday.

Addressing a press conference along with the defence and finance ministers Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that National Security Council (NSC) will respond to any act of aggression by India, after the Indian Line of Control (LoC) violation in Muzafrabad.

NSC straightaway refused the claim of Indian media  that alleged that a terrorist camp near Balakot had been attacked there were heavy casualties.

“The claimed area of strike is open for the world to see the facts on ground. For this, domestic and international media is being taken to the impact site,” said Shah Mehmood Qureshi during the press conference.

A high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan today  decided to raise voice against Indian violation at the Line of Control (Loc), on an international forum.

The meeting was summoned in the wake of violation of Lion of Control (LoC) by Indian Air Force.

According to the sources the meeting was attended by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Defence Ministers and Foreign Ministry.

According to points briefed, the Indian LoC violation will be raised at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), United Nations and with friendly countries.
