Imran Khan congratulates new CJCSC, COAS on assuming offices, with wrong date of Quaid-i-Azam’s address
PTI chairman Imran Khan has congratulated the new Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Mirza Sahir Shamshad and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir on assuming their office.
As former Prime Minister Imran Khan congratulated the Chairman Joint Chiefs and Army Chief on assuming office, he also shared some lines of Quaid-e-Azam’s address.
“We hope new military leadership will work to end prevailing trust deficit that has built up in last eight months between the nation and the state. Strength of the state is derived from its people,” Imran Khan said.
However, in his congratulatory tweet shared on Wednesday, PTI Chairman Imran Khan mentions the wrong date of Quaid-e-Azam’s address.

It is to be noted that the address of Quaid e Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah that the PTI leader has quoted as of 14 August 1947, however, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah gave this address on 14 June 1948 at the Army Staff College.
