An anti-terrorism court in the federal capital on Tuesday granted interim bail to PTI chairman Imran Khan in a case pertaining to protests outside the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Raja Jawad granted Imran Khan interim bail till March 9 against a surety bond of Rs 100,000, while Banking Court Judge Rukhshanda Shaheen approved the PTI chairman’s bail in the prohibited funding case.
The former prime minister was to appear in three courts today to attend the hearings of multiple cases.
These include a prohibited funding case in a banking court, an anti-terrorism case, and the Toshakhana and an attempt to murder case in the same court.
As reported, a large number of PTI workers entered the judicial complex, knocking down its gate and creating chaos as Khan arrived.
Security arrangements at Sector G-11 of the judicial complex were disrupted as the PTI workers removed all barriers.
While security at the katchehri was also tightened.
