Imran Khan will go for dissolution of assemblies, backtracks from talks offer to govt

Imran Khan will go for dissolution of assemblies, backtracks from talks offer to govt!

On Saturday, PTI Chairman Imran Khan announced to dissolve the provincial assemblies of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa this month.

Addressing KP’s parliamentary members via video link, the PTI chairman said that his party is ready for talks with the coalition government if they are willing to give a date for general elections.

“Economic stability is the need of the hour and it will only come with political stability,” Imran Khan said.

Former premier slammed collation government adding that Pakistan’s economic situation is spiraling out of control and country heads towards default but Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and his predecessor Miftah Ismail are engaged in a public spat.

Criticizing incumbent government,  PTI chief said the only achievement of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and its allies in past seven months is that they managed to get relief for themselves in corruption cases against them.

On the other hand, earler in the day Rana Sanaullah maintained that the dissolution of KP, Punjab assemblies will not affect federal government.

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah talking to the media on Saturday, said that Imran Khan has to go jail because of his deeds.

“Farah Gogi withdrew millions of rupees from Punjab after making money from transfers and postings. The honour of the country was damaged by selling watches. Imran Khan talked about negotiations yesterday. Refusal to negotiate is against parliamentary democracy,” he said.

Rana Sanaullah added that if the Punjab and KP assemblies are dissolved, the federal government will remain intact.

“Imran Khan used to say he would rather die but wouldn’t hold talks with the PDM. Whether there is by-election or general election in Punjab, we will be in a better position. There is no doubt that we could not bring down inflation. Mian Nawaz Sharif will come whenever elections are held in December or January. Nawaz Sharif will lead the election campaign,” interior minister added.
