Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan will skip the federal government’s all-parties conference (APC) scheduled for February 7.
PTI Secretary General Asad Umar shared the development on Friday.
Talking to media personnel outside the Lahore High Court (LHC), Asad Umar said that Imran Khan will not attend the conference and questioned how the former premier could sit with the incumbent government while false cases were being filed against the PTI.
“How can we sit with them [PDM-led government] while cases are being registered against us?”
“The Constitution is being violated by registering cases of treason against the opponents and all the government resources are devoted to arrests and detentions,” he added.
While mentioning the by-elections, Asad Umar said: “Governors are not ready to provide the dates for the elections,” adding that 220 million people of Pakistan will not allow anyone to seize their rights.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday, invited Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan to All-Parties Conference.
An all-parties conference (APC) is being held in Islamabad on Feb 7, aimed at finding solutions to surmount the daunting economic and political crises in the country.
Prime minister Shehbaz Sharif seeks to bring heads of all political parties on the table so they can join heads and figure out ways to address “important national challenges”, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb stated.
