Imran Khan’s arrest warrant suspended till March 16 in case pertaining to threatening a female judge

Imran Khan’s arrest warrant has been suspended till March 16 in the case pertaining to the hurling of threats to a female judge.

The development comes on Tuesday came after the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan filed a petition in Islamabad district and sessions court challenging the arrest warrant.

The petition was heard by additional sessions judge Faizan Haider Gillani who order the suspension of the arrest warrant issued against him in the case regarding his controversial remarks against a female judge during a rally in Islamabad till March 16. 

Imran Khan’s counsel Naeem Panjotha and Intizar Panjotha challenged the non-bailable warrants, with Intizar maintaining that the provisions imposed on Imran were bailable.

The judge questioned if bailable arrest warrants were issued before. Intizar replied that no bailable arrest warrant was issued.

The court directed Imran Khan’s lawyers to fix the documents presented by them, with the judge stating that he could not comprehend the documents.
