Imran Khan’s arrest warrant suspension has been extended in the case pertaining to the hurling of threats to a female judge.

The development comes on Monday as the local court in Islamabad extended the suspension of non-bailable arrest warrants against PTI Chairman Imran Khan in the case in question.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s warrant has now been extended until March 24.

As reported, the extension was granted as Additional Sessions Judge Faizan Haider Gillani proceeded on leave.

On March 14, the additional sessions judge Faizan Haider Gillani ordered the suspension of the arrest warrant issued against him in the case regarding his controversial remarks against a female judge during a rally in Islamabad till March 16.

Imran Khan’s counsel Naeem Panjotha and Intizar Panjotha challenged the non-bailable warrants, with Intizar maintaining that the provisions imposed on Imran were bailable.
