According to news doing rounds, a wing commander of Indian Air Force, Central Air Command Headquarters, B Ramauli Public Relations Officer, Arvind Sinha, committed suicide after shooting himself with a double barrel gun. Although investigations are underway, there has been no clear cut reason stated for the officer’s suicide.
The 43-year-old commander, is being said to be facing personal issues with family and work. Pooja, the wife of air force official, said that her husband was stressed out due to the job.
Inspector Dhumanjanj Sandeep Mishra, investigating the case, said that Wing Commander was quite upset due to personal reasons which became a reason for the suicide.
The news of the suicide came after India’s failed airstrike in Pakistan’s region of Balakot in the morning of 26th February 2019. Indian Air Force also claimed to have targeted the alleged Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist camp though Pakistan denies any such attack.
Following the attack, the prime minister has called a high level security meeting on Wednesday.
