Two Indian High Commission officials, who were arrested over a hit-and-run incident earlier today has been released, Islamabad police said.
The Islamabad police said in its statement that both of the officials of the Indian High Commission were released on diplomatic immunity.
“The Indian official had been handed over in the presence of officials of Pakistan foreign ministry,” the statement said.

The police said that a first information report (FIR) earlier, was filed against the Indian officers after they hit a man and allegedly trying to escape from the site of incident.
The case was registered with the charges of negligence, reckless driving, and overspeeding, according to the police.
A fake currency worth Rs10,000 was also recovered from Indian diplomats, FIR stated.
