International flight operations to resume from April 5 in the country

The federal government has decided to resume international flight operations from April 5 to bring back stranded Pakistanis from abroad as the coronavirus pandemic continues to affect the flight operations.

The government has permitted resumption of international flight operations at Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Quetta and Peshawar airports from April 5, PM’s office issued notification on Saturday.

The international flights operations were restricted across the country and even domestic travel was also suspended as the cases of coronavirus continued to emerge.

The notification further added that all passengers coming to the country will be screened and suspected patients will be isolated at designated hotels.

Earlier today, Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Dr Moeed Yusuf gave a briefing on media over the situation at airports and borders, adding that the international airspace will remain closed until April 4.
