Internet and mobile services have been fully restored in Lahore on Tuesday.
Internet and mobile signals service were suspended in several areas of Lahore for the past seven days amid the ongoing protests of banned outfit Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP).
The internet services were suspended following the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan’s (TLP) protests in Punjab’s capital.
According to The PTA’s spokesperson, internet services in Chowk Yateem Khana and adjoining areas in a radius of 10km have been restored.
Earlier on April 16, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) had blocked access to the social media platforms for few hours across the country in order to maintain public order and safety.
The Ministry of Interior had directed the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to temporarily block access to social media platforms — Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, YouTube, and Telegram — from 11 am to 3 pm.
PTA released an official statement saying that “In order to maintain public order and safety, access to certain social media applications has been restricted temporarily.”
