Iran’s foreign minister advisor dies of coronavirus

An advisor to the foreign minister of Iran, Hossein Sheikholeslam  has died after infected from coronavirus, Iranian news agency confirmed Thursday.

According to IRNA, the rapid spread of the deadly virus has infected 3,513 people and killed 107 people in the Islamic republic.

Is has also been reported that six of the those who  died from coronavirus are politicians or govt. officials.

Sheikholeslam , before his death was advisor to foreign minister of Iran Javad Zarif, a former envoy to Syria. He also served as deputy foreign minister from 1981 to 1997.

He was one of the students involved in the 1979 Iran hostage crisis.

Earlier, coronavirus has also killed high-rank officials including Mohammad Mirmohammadi of the Expediency Council which advises Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Mohammad Ali Ramezani, an MP from Gilan, was also died after battling coronavirus.

According to ISNA, Tehran MP Fatemeh Rahbar is currently in a coma after being infected.
