Ishaq Dar reaches Pakistan along with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif

Ishaq Dar reached Pakistan along with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday evening.

Ex-Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has been in self-imposed exile for 5 years in London.

Former Federal Minister of Finance Miftah Ismail and Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting Maryam Aurangzeb have also returned home.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and his delegation have reached Islamabad directly from London in a special plane.

According to aviation sources, the plane carrying the Prime Minister and his delegation landed at Noor Khan Air Base.

Upon his return to Pakistan, Ishaq Dar said in his statement that “by the grace of Allah, I have returned to my homeland, and I will try my best to get Pakistan out of the economic crisis.”

Ishaq Dar said that he will try his best to get Pakistan out of the economic vortex, leader Nawaz Sharif and the Prime Minister have given the responsibility of the Finance Minister, in 1998 and in 2013, the country was also taken out of the economic vortex.

Later in the day before leaving for Pakistan with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Dar while speaking to Geo News said he looked forward to taking oath as Pakistan’s finance minister and then doing his best to stabilize the struggling economy.

“The whirlpool Pakistan went through in the last four years is hidden from no one. Fortunately, I am returning to the same office that I left five years back. This is Allah’s blessing,” Dar said.
