Jamaat-e-Islami announces countrywide protests against price hike

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Emir Sirajul Haq has announced to hold countrywide protests and demonstrations against the skyrocketing inflation.
“Jamaat-e-Islami has decided to hold a week of a nationwide protest, starting from tomorrow. protests will be staged in all small and big cities against the brutal increase in petrol and diesel, electricity, ghee, gas prices, and deadly inflation, JI chief made the announcement on Twitter on Saturday.
جماعت اسلامی نے کل سے ملک بھر میں ہفتہ احتجاج منانے کا فیصلہ کیا ہے۔ تمام چھوٹے بڑے شہروں میں پیٹرول و ڈیزل، بجلی، گھی، گیس کی قیمتوں میں ظالمانہ اضافے اور جان لیوا مہنگائی کے خلاف احتجاج کیا جائے گا

Meanwhile, #JIRejects_FuelPrices is being trended on social media on Saturday after the country saw a record increase in the prices of petroleum products.

The opposition leaders have lashed out at the PTI govt over the petrol price hike.
It was earlier in the day when the federal government announced a record hike in the prices of petroleum products.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance today, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs10.49 per litre, High-Speed Diesel by Rs12.44 rupees, Kerosene Oil by Rs10.95 rupees, and Light Diesel Oil by Rs8.84 per litre
