Activist Jibran Nasir who is often taking the government to task for incompetence and lack of governance, yesterday wholeheartedly praised the authorities for Coronavirus measures at the airports. The activist who just came back from the USA witnessed a stark contrast and shared it with his followers.
“I reached Pakistan today after a week in the US. Went through three airports, multiple train and subway stations, despite the big Corona scare on US media there was no screening by US authorities anywhere,” tweeted Jibran.
“Landed back in Karachi to find a thorough system in place. Kudos,” he commended the Pakistan government and Sindh government’s efforts in particular.
Coronavirus outbreak has taken Pakistan in its fearful grip with the latest number of confirmed cases being 96 in the country.
The activist has also got himself tested for coronavirus after traveling. Taking to social media the activist revealed the reason for getting himself tested.
“Out of concern for family, friends & everyone around I’ve limited my interactions and movements as most of #Corona cases are asymptomatic. I don’t have any symptoms but will go through testing just to be sure & encourage all those coming to Pak to do the same”, writes Jibran in his Instagram post.
