JIT begins probe into the assassination attempt on PTI Chairman Imran Khan in Wazirabad.
As reported, a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) has formally started the investigation into the assassination attempt on the former prime minister.
The two members of JIT, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Dera Ghazi Khan, Syed Khurram, and SP counter-terrorism department Naseebullah visited the crime scene.
As reported, some more spots were identified by them for obtaining more digital evidence from the crime scene.
The joint investigation team was formed on Nov 3 and has been constituted under the Anti-Terrorism Act, of 1997.
On November 15, the Punjab government notified a six-member joint investigation team (JIT) to investigate the attack on Imran Khan in Wazirabad.
Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore Ghulam Mehmood Dogar will be the convener of the JIT.
The other members included in the JIT are Regional Police Officer (RPO) Dera Ghazi Khan Syed Khurram, Assistant IG investigation branch Ehsanullah Chauhan, Superintendent of Police Potohar Rawalpindi Malik Tariq Mehmood and SP counter-terrorism department Naseebullah.
