Venice Film Festival: Joaquin Phoenix-starrer Joker receives eight-minute standing ovation

Joaquin Phoenix-starrer Joker has received an eight-minute standing ovation at its Venice Film Festival premiere on Saturday night.
Phoenix, the directorTodd Phillips and the lead cast of Joker were present at the festival when the film received a standing ovation f, or the origin story they’ve mapped out for Batman’s arch-villain.
Robert De Niro, who plays a talk-show host in the film, was unable to not to make it to the premiere.

The reviews form the critics who have seen Joker at the premiere, have started to arrive. Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker is being hailed as the best film of 2019.
After Venice, Joker will head to Toronto for another festival bow.
Early reviews have scored the film at 10/10 and after reading them, one certainly can’t wait to see this Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker, which is slated for October 4 cinema release.
Apart from Phoenix, De Niro, and Beetz, the film also features Bill Camp, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler, Douglas Hodge, Marc Maron, Josh Pais, and Shea Whigham.
