US Election 2020 Result: Joe Biden wins the presidency

Joe Biden has won battleground state Pennsylvania with 98.4 percent votes counted, getting him the 270 electoral votes he needs to become president – US media.



Former Vice President Joe Biden has been elected the 46th President of the United States, with the Associated Press projecting that he has secured enough electoral votes, assuring the Democratic nominee of an Electoral College victory.

According to the Associated Press, Biden has won the six electoral votes from Pennsylvania driving his tally to the magic number of 270.

Joe Biden also won in the states of Arizona, Wisconsin, and Michigan on his pathway to the presidency, flipping states that President Donald Trump won in 2016.

History has been made by this Democratic victory as California Sen. Kamala Harris set to be sworn in as the country’s first female vice president, and the first vice president of color.
