#JusticeForAmir trending on social media over ill- treatment of KPK police
Social Media on Wednesday has been trending with the hashtag #JusticeForAmir after a video began circulating on the micro-blogging website, Twitter showing a man being tortured in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) police custody who humiliated and harassed him by stripping off his clothes.
As per the allegations leveled against the man by the KPK police, Amir, who works as the head waiter of a marriage hall had verbally abused them in a private gathering in an intoxicated state.
Earlier, Amir was filmed abusing police officers in an intoxicated state at a private gathering which had led to his arrest.
However, condemning the behaviour of KPK police, people took to social media to express their anger over the incident and hashtag #JusticeForAmir start trending on Twitter.
The video seems to be shot by the police officials. However, the social media users are showing their displeasure asking whether the treatment of police against the poor man was justified in return to his verbal abuse.

The SSP Peshawar has assured that an investigation into the matter has been initiated however no further details have been found.
Sources said that the cops involved in the incident have been suspended.
Meanwhile, the member of the national assembly Mohsin Dawar also tweeted about the incident, saying, “Shocked at the way Amir from Tehkaal is being treated by K-P Police. Should verbal irreverence towards Police high-ups be responded with such torture & humiliation?”
