Karachi Circular Railway will now partially resume from November 19

Karachi Circular Railway KCR service, which was originally scheduled to resume for November 16, will now be partially operational from November 19, after a 21-year closure.

As being reported KCR it is now delayed over the non-finalisation of the arrangements.

According to sources, the 14-km long track from City Station to Orangi Town remains unclear, while the station also lacks basic facilities.

Adding more to it, the road crossing in Gulbai and other areas has become a complicated issue in the resumption of KCR and sources privy to the development said that traffic to be stopped temporarily through ropes at crossing points of the KCR trains. There are reportedly no barriers

According to the official press release issued earlier by Pakistan Railways, eight up and down passenger trains will run daily, for which the maximum fare will be Rs50.

In the first phase, beginning from November 16, trains from Pipri station will pass through Landhi, Malir, Drigh Road, Cantt, City, Kemari, Wazir Mansion, Lyari, Gulbai, Site, Shah Abdul Latif, and Orangi stations.

Four trains of five bogeys each will be run on a daily basis between Pipri and Orangi  (60 kilometers) simultaneously at 7 am, 10 am, 1 pm, and 4 pm.
