Karachi has received a gift of 50 state-of-the-art fire tenders from PM Imran Khan.
The announcement of the arrival of the fire tenders was made on Sunday by Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider in a Tweet on social media.
Thanking Pm Imran Khan, Ali Zaidi in a Tweet said, “50 State of the Art Fire Tenders of 7,000 liters of water & foam capacity + 2 Water Bowsers loaded on a ship & on their way to KHI. Thank You PM @ImranKhanPTI for this gift to KHI!.”
Karachi’s fire department has been in a dire state of affairs over the past couple of decades.
Earlier, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail briefed that the federal government was purchasing 50 new fire tenders that would be given to the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation by January 2021.
