Karachi likely to receive light rain showers on Sunday, Met Office predicts

Karachi is likely to receive light rain on Sunday as a result of the low air pressure that has been formed in the north-eastern region of the Arabian Sea, the Meteorological Department said on Saturday.

According to the MET Office, a depression can be formed in the Arabian Sea due to low pressure and its effect will manifest in the form of strong winds and cloudy weather in the metropolis on Saturday.

The MET Office also said that Tharparkar, Mirpur Khas, Badin, Thatta, and Hyderabad are likely to receive rainfall today and tomorrow.

An advisory from the meteorological department has also been issued to warn fishermen from venturing deep into the sea due to high tidal waves.
