Karachi: Lockdown imposed in two localities

Lockdown has been imposed in two localities of Karachi for being hotspots of COVID-19.

Authorities have imposed lockdown in the Manghopir and Mominabad areas of Karachi from today till June 4.

On the other hand, as the cases of coronavirus increase, there is a possibility of severe lockdown in the whole of Karachi.

According to sources, the Sindh government has sought recommendations from senior officials in this regard.


According to Geo News, suggestions have been sought from police officers for lockdown in view of increasing cases of corona across Sindh including Karachi.

In view of the increasing cases of Coronavirus, a severe lockdown is expected to get imposed in Karachi and sources said that the severe lockdown could be similar to last year’s.

Sources further added that so far 24 policemen have been martyred due to the coronavirus. The Sindh government had announced Rs 1 million assistance for those martyred during corona duties. Couldn’t get money.

Sources further claim that the decision of severe lockdown in the city could be taken today or tomorrow and the implementation is also possible soon.
