Commissioner Karachi orders to close the markets and shopping malls at 8:30 pm

The directives have been issued to comply with the federal government’s energy conservation plan.

Commissioner Karachi has given instructions to close all the markets and shopping malls in the metropolis at 8:30 pm!

Commissioner Karachi in the newly issued orders directed all Deputy Commissioners (DCs) to ensure the closure of shopping malls and markets in the port city by 8:30 pm.

Officials also directed strict measures to close wedding halls and restaurants by 10 pm as global energy prices soared, putting further pressure on Pakistan’s dwindling finances.

DCs are also directed to implement alternative switching of streetlights and energy-efficient housing.

 

The directives have been issued to comply with the federal government’s energy conservation plan.

Furthermore, all of the Deputy Commissioners (DC) have been directed by Commissioner Karachi to submit a report on the program’s execution.
