Karachi police have arrested two teenage TikTokers involved in a murder on Thursday.
The accused shot a man standing at a bus stop to make a TikTok video.
According to the Malir City Police, two TikTokers were arrested involved in the murder.
The arrested accused are between 14 and 15 years of age, SSP Malir Irfan Bahadur said.
The arrested accused have been identified as Saeed Ahmed and Fazil Ali.
According to the police, the accused Fazil shot dead a citizen standing outside his house for thrashing which was later proved fatal.
SSP Malir Irfan Bahadur in a press brief revealed that the accused were identified from CCTV footage of the incident.
The arrested accused opened fire on a citizen in Ghazi Chowk Jaffar Tayyar on December 23, 2021.
The injured citizen identified as Qamar Raza died the next day while receiving treatment at a local hospital,
Police raided on technical grounds, arrested two accused, and also recovered the weapon and motorcycle used in the incident.
The arrested accused also provided information about two more accomplices during interrogation. SSP Malir
Raids are being carried out to arrest the other two accomplices of the arrested accused, an arrest is expected soon.
Proceedings against the arrested accused continue, SSP Malir said.
The arrested accused have been handed over to the investigating authorities for further questioning.
The arms recovered from the accused have been sent for forensic, briefed SSP Malir.
