Sindh Lockdown: Karachi, Sukkur airports shutting down for domestic flights from March 24

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has decided to close Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport and Sukkur’s airport for all domestic flights from March 24 till April 4 as a precautionary measure to limit the spread of coronavirus in the country.

The notification issued by the CAA says that the “Jinnah International Airport, Karachi and SukkurAirport will remain closed for all types of Domestic Incoming/Outgoing Passenger Flight Operations with effect from Tuesday, March 24, 2020, 0100 UTC/ 0600 PSTtill April 04, 2020, 1500 UTC/2000 PST”.

The decision has been taken amid the lockdown imposed in Sindh to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus.

The federal government March 21 decided to suspended international flights coming into Pakistan till April 4.
