Karachi Welcoming New Year 2021: No main roads will be closed on the eve for traffic

The traffic plan for New Year’s Eve has been issued by the Karachi traffic police stating that no main roads will be closed.

The decision comes after the meeting chaired by Commissioner Karachi Navaid Ahmed Shaikh to review the security arrangements for New Year’s Eve.

According to the traffic police, anyone riding a motorcycle without a silencer will be handed over to the police.

Meanwhile, Police will be deployed in all areas of Karachi from 8 pm today to 3 am tomorrow.

Traffic from Sea View McDonald’s to Village hotel will be one-way, according to the plan, while parking will be banned on Sea View, Sharae Faisal, Abdullah Haroon Road, and Ziaud Din Ahmed Road, officials stated.

Furthermore, Parking will also not be allowed on Mai Kolachi Road, Korangi, and MT Khan Road.

A day earlier, authorities issued orders of closing down markets, business centers, and restaurants at 8 pm on December 31 to avoid traffic jams. And a ban was imposed on aerial firing saying that the Aerial firing to be charged with an attempt to murder.
