Ajmal Wazir has been removed from his position of information adviser to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister on Saturday.
Ajmal Wajir is accused of allegedly taking a commission on advertisements. The development came after leaked audio surfaced alleging him speaking about the commission.
A letter of de-notification for Ajmal Wajir from his office has been issued on Saturday, with orders of Kamran Bangash replacing him.
The action has been taken under Section 3 of KP Advisers and Special Assistants to the Chief Minister (Appointment) Act, 1989.
Kamran Bangash, who is also the special assistant to the chief minister for local government, elections, and rural development. Bangash will hold both portfolios, the notification added.
As being reported an inquiry into the matter has been ordered.
