Kumail Nanjiani terms white Republicans as ‘Kaminay’ who are bothered by foreign languages

Pakistani-American actor Kumail Nanjiani’s Urdu still rocks. The big sick actor is well known for using social media platform and has a massive following, as he always speaks out against various issues and represents brown people in the West.

The star has responded towards remarks regarding the Republican party, that too in Urdu, pretty sure that no one expected that it was coming from Kumail Nanjiani.

The Big Sick actor took to Twitter on Friday replying to Washington Post article with the headline reading: “Nearly half of white Republicans say it bothers them to hear people speaking foreign languages.”

He wrote, “Yeh log bilkul kaminay hain”, which more or less translates as “These people are totally filthy.”

It was last year at Oscars when Kumail Nanjiani, along with Lupita Nyong’o spoke out for the immigrants in the U.S.

By utilizing their presentation turn for the Oscar for production design at the 2018 Academy Awards as an opportunity to voice support for undocumented migrants. Who themselves arrived in the United States as children, claiming themselves to be as dreamers.

Before introducing the award for achievement in production design, Lupita Nyong’o and Kumail Nanjiani made one of the awards night’s most critical political statements, without mentioning President Donald Trump’s name.

The two actors introduced themselves as immigrants, Lupita Nyong’o who was born in Mexico and raised in Kenya and Kumail Nanjiani is from Pakistan. The conversation on stage went like the following before they made an announcement for the nominees:

Lupita Nyong’o, ”Good evening, we are the two actors you keep hearing about but whose names you have trouble pronouncing”.

Kumail Nanjiani, ”Actually, I have to come clean. Kumail Nanjiani is my stage name. My actual given Pakistani name is Chris Pine. So you can imagine how annoyed I was when the other when the white Chris Pine showed up. The “real” Chris Pine”.

Lupita Nyong’o, ”We are also immigrants. I’m from Kenya”.

Kumail Nanjiani, ”And I’m from, Kenya is in the house. And I am from Pakistan and Iowa. Two places that nobody in Hollywood can find on a map”.

Nanjiani was also nominated for best original screenplay for “The Big Sick”.

Kumail Nanjiani is a Pakistani-American stand-up comedian, actor, podcast host, and writer best known for The Big Sick.

He is also a main cast member on HBO’s Emmy Award-nominated series Silicon Valley, as well as for providing the voice of Prismo on the Emmy Award-winning animated series Adventure Time.
