Panic captured Pakistanis after the news broke that Lahoris were being served frog meat, as they have a recent history of consuming the donkey meat.
It all started after a local publication’s story that police seized 100’s of kilograms of dead frogs in Lahore and the social media erupted in all kind of reactions.
A story was published in a local Urdu newspaper, which claimed that two men were arrested by Lahore’s Mujahid Force with 185kgs of dead and alive frogs, speculating that was to be sold to local restaurants for making nuggets and shawarma.
However, the story turns out to be partially true. Lahore police did arrest two men who were travelling in a rickshaw, carrying 8 sacks containing dead and alive frogs.
As being reported by Samaa News, these men were carrying the frogs to a laboratory on Abkari Road which was then to be supplied to medical universities. Medical students dissect the frogs and practice suturing on them.
Reportedly, the men were released afterwords, but those captured frogs were released into a river.
Though, this frog story has kept the nation busy through out the day spaculating the usage of frog meat in local eatries.

Will you still eat outside in Lahore without checking the meat source? People are divided over this question.
