The sound was also captured during the live stream of the French Open tennis tournament on Wednesday afternoon.
However, France’s BFMTV has clarified that the explosion heard in Paris was an aircraft breaking the sound barrier.

“There is no explosion,” the French police said on Twitter. “It is to do with a fighter plane that crossed the sound barrier.”
