Last supermoon of 2021, the ‘strawberry’ moon, will be visible in Karachi tonight
The last supermoon of 2021, the ‘strawberry’ moon, will be visible in Karachi tonight!
The full strawberry moon will appear brightest at 11:39 pm local time.
Tonight’s full moon is also a supermoon which occurs when the moon is at its closest point to Earth in its orbit, known as perigee.
Due to its position, the moon will look slightly bigger and brighter since it’s closer to the Earth than usual. June’s Strawberry Moon is the second and last supermoon of the year.
As being reported the strawberry moon is the first of four full moons which will feature in summer 2021.
The ‘strawberry’ moon name originates from Indigenous peoples and refers to the ripening of strawberries and other fruits that takes place in late spring and early summer.
The last three supermoons witnessed in 2021 were on March 28, April 27, and May 26.
