Lata Mangeshkar hospitalized due to chest infection

Legendary Bollywood singer Lata Mangeshkar has been admitted to hospital as she complained of difficulty in breathing in the early hours of Monday. The veteran singer had celebrated her 90th birthday on September 28, 2019.
According to a spokesperson the singer is still in the hospital and is currently under observation.

However, ANI, on behalf of Lata Mangeshkar’s team, has tweeted stating, ” Team of Lata Mangeshkar: Lata Mangeshkar had a chest infection so she was taken to Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai today. She is now back at her home and is recovering.”

Singer’s niece in a statement has clarified the speculations that Lata Mangeshkar was put on life support. While talking to the news agency she told she’s ‘on her path to recovery’ and that ‘she’s not on life support’, unlike the speculations.
“Lata didi suffered from a viral chest infection so we got her to the hospital. But now, she is on a path of recovery. Thank you for your concern”, she added further.
Furthermore, BBC reporter Pankaj Priyadershi has also shared her health update.
In a tweet, he wrote, “Lata ji had viral chest congestion. Keeping her age in mind, as a precautionary measure, she has checked in to Breach Candy Hospital in order to ensure antibiotics on time to prevent any more infection. She is stable and recovering”.
