Lawyers assault consumer court judge in Punjab’s district of Mandi Bahauddin.
The incident reportedly occurred on Tuesday, Nov 30.
Supreme Court has taken suo motu notice of the assault on Sessions Judge Rao Abdul Jabbar.
The CCTV footage from the court’s room shows how assailants dragged the judge out from his chair.
The video of the incident is now doing rounds on social media.

According to police, an FIR has been registered against the group of lawyers under the anti-terrorism act.
As per the FIR, the lawyers attempted to pressurize the judge over issuing a show-cause notice to the president of the bar.
“They not only assaulted the judge but also locked the doors of the court,” it said.
